The Red Death

Out now on Amazon! Click HERE to purchase!

Assassins, revenge, and romance, oh my!

I'm the most confident in this work, and I'm so excited for you all to have it! It's the story I love to write. There's a slow burn, witty banter, and all set in a world where secrets lurk around every corner...and perhaps under the characters' very feet...

Synopsis

A Prison Break

A Murder Plot

A Long-Awaited Hunt

A deadly assassin is on the loose and it’s all Silva’s fault. But…this happy accident also presents an opportunity. Silva is heir to Ayncuarst Estate, an estate his father has been bleeding dry. An assassin could rid him of his father, and his problems, once and for all. If he doesn't end up losing his head in the process. Or his heart.

Finally free after two long years in prison, Roux has a long list of people she intends to make bleed. But with the Warden on the hunt, magical Enhanced chasing her scent, and a weakened body—she needs help. When she happens upon the handsome Silva who unknowingly assisted her escape, he offers her a deal she can’t refuse.

Succeed or fail, both paths are paved in blood. But no matter what, both have vowed to never break.

Cardan x Jude meets Dorian x Celaena inspired romance.
He-falls-first, found family, female rage, revenge.
For those who love the estates in Bridgerton, but wanted them to have a sprinkle of magic and maybe a few hidden daggers.

Writing The Story

This was one of the rare stories where it just flowed out of me. I'd recently finished reading a long series and loved it. (The Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas) Having the FMC be a female assassin was almost certainly inspired by Celaena and throughout the series I enjoyed her strength, determination, and sheer force of will she used to get things done. I think my FMC reflects that, though Roux's story is very different from Celaena's. Although, it only occurred to me much later how similar Roux and Silva's relationship is to Dorian and Celaena's. A happy coincidence. I'll never get enough witty banter and it was one of my favorite parts of writing this book. Hope you all come to love it and debate the similarities and differences with me soon!
